Young doctors have posted on the X network that, according to Erar’s data, 106 organisations united in the Voice of the People have so far received 139,216,355 euros of taxpayer money.
The young doctors added that the cost of one family medicine team (salaries and expenses) is 200 thousand euros. For the price of one Voice of the People, we get 696 family medicine teams. This is a family doctor for 1,044,000 people.
The more than 139 million euros received by selected NGOs by the end of 2023 (since 2003 or their establishment) could also be used, as stated by Janez Janša, the leader of the Slovenian Democratic Party, to build 30 schools or nursing homes.
Voice of the People is predominantly represented in the public by the controversial street artist Jaša Jenull, the son of the Supreme State Prosecutor Hinko Jenull and Jožka Hegler, the former director of the municipal administration of the City of Ljubljana during Zoran Janković’s tenure. According to the latest available data, Jenull stated that NGOs from Voice of the People received 9 million euros last year, which he considers little given their work, whatever they may represent in Voice of the People. In this case as well, it is the value of at least one school or nursing home.
