Jelka Godec: “These are not numbers, these are people!!!”

By: Celjski glasnik

While Robert Golob is busy figuring out how to buy extra votes with the Christmas bonus, on the other side we are witnessing a healthcare system that denies access to public services for hundreds of thousands of citizens.

And as the opposition has been warning for some time, it is precisely for this reason that the coalition is eager to introduce a law on euthanasia!?

Such a law would allow voluntary ending of life, and according to the opposition, and notably the referendum proponent Aleš Primc, it would also shorten waiting times. In just over three years, Robert Golob, with his self-proclaimed social policies, has drastically extended waiting periods and ultimately brought the public healthcare system to the brink of collapse. He is, in fact, the only prime minister who dared to label doctors as amphibians.

In the temple of democracy, SDS MP Jelka Godec presented some figures showing that people lack access to the public healthcare system. “The government labelled doctors as amphibians and undermined trust in the people who save lives. Today we have 150,000 people without a personal doctor, 4,000 children in Ljubljana without a paediatrician, and 230,000 women without a gynaecologist. These are not numbers, these are people!!” declared MP Jelka Godec emphatically.
