“As a minister, I always act to the best of my ability and knowledge, and I did the same in this case, so I see no reason to consider resigning,” said Health Minister Janez Poklukar in response to allegations that he was responsible for obtaining the PCT condition after vaccination with Janssen vaccine. To date, 4,641 people have died as a result of covid-19, many of them as a result of the KUL opposition’s political struggle.

Today in the National Assembly, the Minister of Health Janez Poklukar responded to the calls from the opposition to resign after Dnevnik obtained the documentation of the correspondence session of the government, which shows that Poklukar and his team are the authors of the decree according to which the individual obtained PCT condition immediately upon receiving Janssen vaccine. This, however, was accepted past the profession.

He told STA that as a man and a doctor he regrets every death, as a Minister he always acts according to his best beliefs and knowledge. This is how it worked even in the case of deciding to obtain the PCT condition after receiving a dose of Janssen vaccine, so he sees no reason to consider resigning.

KUL opposition to the measures is shown in fatalities

However, at this call of the opposition, it would be worth recalling the many covid victims who died as a result of the actions of the left opposition, trade unions, and courts. Ever since the beginning of the epidemic and the formation of the current government, they have opposed preventive protection measures and called for mass protests during the most dangerous period, when vaccines were not yet available. At the protests, we could see prominent representatives of the Levica, LMŠ, and SD parties, later they even opposed masks in schools, but today they are shifting the entire responsibility for the situation to the government, which is extremely improper. In other countries, government and opposition sides have worked together to fight the epidemic, preventing many deaths and calling for vaccinations. The vaccination rate in Slovenia is still lagging behind, which is currently reflected in increased pressure on patients. To date, 4,641 people have died as a result of covid, many of them completely unnecessarily, as a result of the political struggle of the KUL opposition.
