Franci Kindlhofer: Tanja Fajon honours the murderers of the former regime and should not hold a political office

In the show Tema dneva, Franci Kindlhofer talked about the new coalition agreement, Tanja Fajon as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the new ministries and more. He says the new coalition agreement is a threat to democracy.

In the show Tema dneva, Franci Kindlhofer pointed out that democracy is in danger through a story about the flourishing of Goriška Brda. “Earlier this week, my wife and I spent a few days in Brda… In three days of staying in this beautiful environment, I came to some interesting conclusions. The first was that this economic development, which is visible in Brda at every step, is again in danger,” he said. He notes the tendency to give away taxpayers’ money too lightly to make life even more bitter for those who make it, instead of making it easier for them and encouraging them to be even more productive.

“Those who talk about property taxes are not aware that this property is built with taxed money and that private property ensures the safety of citizens,” Kindlhofer continued. He is convinced that the property is not given to anyone. It is not only the result of hard work, but also of the spiritual capabilities and innovation of the individual. “When we get an excellent prosciutto on a plate, we still cannot imagine how much investment, work and risk is associated with it. So, keep your hands off the already taxed property.”

Franci Kindlhofer is very critical of the coalition agreement or the work programme of the new government. He believes that it will greatly affect the life of the individual. He accuses the new government of wanting to change everything, as if we have had an incompetent society that does not belong to this part of Europe: “They are talking about digitalisation and the EU, as if this will solve all our problems.” Kindlhofer believes the new government is relying too much on money from Europe. As for digitalisation, he says, we need to know that there is a segment of people that stays out of this digital world. “In addition, personal contact between people suffers. How will you share social assistance if you do not see the person?”

Tanja Fajon should not become a minister

He finds it striking that the new government’s programme provides for a kind of oversight body for each body. By this it also has in mind a greater number of ministries planned by the new government. “This only proves that it pays to participate in a political option. The more cash flow, the harder it is to control.”

One of the most critical items of this contract is healthcare. He believes that many problems in Slovenia could be solved with private doctor’s offices, where the service is paid for by a health insurance company, as well as in public health. Nothing would change for the patient.

Regarding the decision on the new foreign minister: “What burn the eye is the foreign ministry. Mrs Fajon, I do not think she is qualified to do so. It would be much better if this was a person who has things arranged in her head about our past. Anyone who publicly honours the assassins of the former regime should not hold a political office.”
