»The repression continues!! House investigation!! Yesterday, the fifth of November, invalid ordinances, today, the day after, a house search at our home! Coincidence again? Ehh you won’t make it !! Let’s move on!!! S.O.S,« are the words posted on Facebook by one of the most famous anti-government protesters with a criminal past, Anis Ličina, who is apparently being searched today; they apparently carried out a search of the apartment building, business premises and also a personal search.

Yesterday, Anis Ličina was delighted with the mainstream media report on the decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia that distance education has allegedly been unconstitutional for some time, because the resolutions or extensions of decrees were not published in the Uradni list (Official Gazette). The government now has three days to settle this, which should not be a problem, given that they only have to copy the text. This category is also supposed to include the extension of the restriction of movement and some other decrees, which Ličina was obviously delighted with, writing excitedly: »Bravo constitutional court!!!« He also wrote: »So, all of you who have received a sentence from the fifth of November onwards, contact your lawyer as the decree is not valid from that day onwards! That is what the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia decided today!! I myself was punished and reported by the police that day. Aleš Hojs, you will sleep badly today, and I will sleep well, because November 5 will remain forever in my memory. But I don’t know what to do with this paper, it obviously goes into the frame!«

Well, it seems that his joy did not last very long, as he published a search warrant today. The District Court in Ljubljana and the on-duty investigating judge Gregor Ševo ordered an urgent investigative act against the suspect, namely for the criminal offense of inciting resistance – under the first and second paragraphs of Article 302 of the Criminal Code – and for the criminal offense of participating in a group which prevents an official from taking an official action – under the first and second paragraphs of Article 301, on the basis of the District State Prosecutor’s Office in Ljubljana of 30 November 2020 and the provisions of the first paragraph of Article 215, Article 166, the third paragraph of Article 172 of the Criminal Procedure Act.

Anis Ličina apparently did not link the house search to his actions, but believes that it happened because of yesterday’s “realization” that his past sins could be considered invalid or that the proceedings against him would not be legal. However, it is really very unlikely that the prosecution would deliberately and without reason conspire against Ličina, if for no other reason, it is because in the past it turned out that he probably has certain »connections« there. Interior Minister Aleš Hojs said that he had been told by the police that the prosecutor had told the police officers not to dream of bringing Ličina. So they shouldn’t dream of her prosecuting him – when it was about having to bring him before an investigating judge. »I’m not going to say that maybe someone made it up, but I don’t believe the police would have made it up,« Hoys said. According to Požareport, this was allegedly prosecutor Maja Ulčar, the niece of lawyer Mitja Ulčar who is a close friend of Franc Perčič, known as an adviser to former president Danilo Türk.

It is not yet clear what the court expects from today’s investigations, but with Ličina’s extensive criminal record, it will probably not be difficult to find something, unless he has counted on this possibility and previously concealed everything that could burden him in any way. Let us recall that in January, criminal investigators completed a more than two-year investigation into an organized criminal group that was involved in drug trafficking in Slovenia and abroad. An internationally organized criminal group was first detected in Slovenia, and then it was established that this group was also connected with certain persons from Croatia, after which they expanded the investigation across borders. In the final operation, they managed to seize large quantities of drugs, as they found over 120 kilograms of amphetamine, several kilograms of cocaine and heroin, and several thousand ecstasy tablets. They also seized several pieces of illegal weapons and over 150 thousand euros in cash. Ličina is also allegedly involved in this criminal group, and he also has a pump robbery on his conscience, where he beat up an employee, and he also participated in a group for smuggling illegal migrants.…
