Ski jumper Peter Prevc is Slovenia’s new ambassador of sport, tolerance and fair play. He was appointed to the post by the government on Thursday and succeeds the 81-year-old gymnast Miro Cerar.
Prevc, 28, is one of Slovenia’s most successful athletes of all times. He is a holder of two Olympic medals, won the overall World Cup and the Four Hills Tournament in 2016, and is the first person to land a 250-metre jump.
