The 25th Ljubljana Marathon was dominated by Kenyan runners, with Ernest Kibet Tarus winning the men’s race with a time of 2 hours 22 minutes and 39 seconds, and Kwamboka Momanyi Grace winning the women’s competition (2:38:10).

The event was held after last year’s race was cancelled due to the pandemic last year, and this year’s edition slightly altered as well – all the races taking place on the same day. In the half-marathon race, Slovenia’s Primož Kobe won in the men’s competition with a time of 1:07:02, and his compatriot Neja Kršinar had her personal best of 1:14:23 to win the women’s competition.
