Olympic gold medallist Janja Garnbret opened the climbing season with a convincing victory in bouldering in Meiringen, a record 32nd World Cup win for the 23-year-old.
The only one to have climbed all 13 boulders, Garnbret said after the win last night that this was a privilege because “every event is a story onto itself.” She plans to leave out the next four boulder events to focus on lead.
