Slovenian boxer Ema Kozin defeated Hungary’s Szilvia Szabados in Aalen, Germany on Saturday to become the world champion in the women’s light middleweight category in the WBF organisation.
This is third weight category in which the 23-year-old from Ljubljana holds the world champion title. Kozin, who also holds the middleweight and super middleweight categories in the organisation, confirmed the role of a favourite to win the match in the seventh round after the referee stoppage. “I felt that I was stronger than Szabados already in the first round,” the Slovenian champion told Delo.
