Zoran Stevanović: “Luka Mesec, after several terms of doing nothing, forgot that sessions of the National Assembly are also recorded.”

By: Celjski glasnik

A few days ago, an SMS message circulated online showing how the left‑wing parties coordinate to obstruct the government and other MPs in their work, regardless of the substance at hand.

And with the latest dispute between Zoran Stevanović and Luka Mesec, this is becoming very obvious, as shown by Mesec’s actions, he is now trying in every possible way to blame the President of the National Assembly for their MP’s failure to vote. And this despite the fact that the recordings of the session exist and have circulated online.

Even though the footage clearly shows Luka Mesec making various gestures, the media continue to support him and try to present the situation as “normal behaviour” rather than a suggestion. The President of the National Assembly, Zoran Stevanović, has also spoken up, having checked the entire situation and explained that this is purely obstruction by part of the Assembly and opposition to any changes to the policies they led over the past four years.

In his response to Mesec’s manipulation, the President of the National Assembly was direct, stating: “Luka Mesec, after several terms of doing nothing, forgot that the sessions are recorded.” He also pointed out that the footage reveals how all MPs of Levica have their fingers on the voting devices precisely at Mesec’s gesture, while only Tina Brecelj does not, unlike the others.
