Zmago Jelinčič Plemeniti: “We forgot what we fought for. Let’s make Slovenia the way we always wanted it to be: good, smart and where all citizens can live well!”

By: C.R.

Thirty years ago, the vast majority of Slovenes decided to secede from Yugoslavia and become independent. On this occasion, Zmago Jelinčič, a member of the National Assembly from 1990s, also congratulated all of us who still value this today. He called on us to stand together in these difficult times, and whoever does not want to, should leave our homeland, with which he/she is not satisfied.

Zmago Jelinčič is a member of the National Assembly who has always been known for saying something that most politicians would only dare to say behind a bar, and many not even then. He did not skimp with his directness in his Twitter congratulations to the Slovenian state and to all those citizens for whom Slovenia is still an intimate option. And to all others he shamelessly advised to leave our country.

A long-time member of the National Assembly and the president of the SNS party, Jelinčič, is known to have a sharp tongue. He proved this once again when he congratulated Slovenia and all conscious Slovenes on the 30th anniversary of the historic plebiscite and the decision for independence and secession from Yugoslavia.

At the same time, he thought that with the independence we had gained a lot as well as lost a lot, but that now was the time to stand together again. And he called out to those who do not like something, he listed those who are invading us and those who are destroying our country, to leave our country.

“We have forgotten what we have fought for,” Jelinčič warned, urging Slovenes to stand together. “Let’s make Slovenia the way we always wanted it to be: good, smart, and where all citizens can live well. Those who invade us, they should go out! Those who are demolishing Slovenia, they should go out! And those who want to destroy our Slovenia, they should go out of the country. They should go where they belong – out of our borders.”
