The Research and Innovation Strategy of Slovenia 2021–2030 is being prepared

By L.B.

The key strategic document for the field of research and innovation will be the Research and Innovation Strategy of Slovenia 2021 – 2030, which will be the basis for the formulation of policies related to the fields of social and economic development and social challenges.

It is intertwined with the National Higher Education Programme, and both are harmonised with the Development Strategy of Slovenia 2030. It is also linked to other sectoral strategic documents at the national level (e.g. Slovenian Industrial Strategy, Slovenian Smart Specialisation Strategy, National Energy and Climate Plan, Digital Slovenia and National programmes to promote the development and use of artificial intelligence in the Republic of Slovenia until 2025). It will be complemented by action plans and sectoral strategic documents (e.g. Research Infrastructure Development Plan, Open Science Action Plan, Technology Transfer Offices Action Plan, Equal Opportunities Action Plan), which will define the objectives set and upgrade them with measurable monitoring indicators.
