Slovenian Prime Minister Marjan Šarec today in Brussels on the first official visit to the EU’s main representatives

The new Slovenian Prime Minister Marjan Šarec is due to visit Brussels today to meet with Donald Tusk, the President of the European Council, and the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker. This will be his first working visit abroad after assuming the position, which confirms the strategic importance of the EU for Slovenia.

Šarec, who met with Tusk and Juncker in September at the informal summit of the Union in Salzburg, will visit Brussels before the regular EU summit next week, so that he is expected to focus on preparations for the summit.
