The Krško City Council discussed the construction of a local radioactive waste repository, with Environment Minister Andrej Vizjak assuring them that everything was being done to make sure that the repository would be built as soon as possible and at an acceptable price.
But it is already clear that it will not be built on schedule – by 2025, he added, pinning the blame for this on the Radioactive Waste Management Agency’s previous director.
