Today, Prime Minister Janez Janša met with the representatives of the Mountain Rescue Association of Slovenia (the MRAS).

On behalf of the MRAS, the meeting was attended by President Janez Rozman, Vice President Mitja Kovačič, and Specialised Assistant Katarina Janjič.

According to the interlocutors, the primary purpose and basic activity of the mountain rescue association is to provide voluntarily help to people involved in accidents in mountainous environments, and difficult and remote terrain. The conversation with the Prime Minister was focused on the role, tasks, operating conditions, and future challenges of the MRAS within the protection, rescue, and assistance system.
