Petrol, Slovenia’s largest energy company, will significantly increase the prices of electricity and natural gas on 1 December due to higher energy prices in international markets.
Power is to go up by 30% and of natural gas by 12%. Other suppliers are expected to follow suit. Higher energy prices are a major problem for the entire EU economy not just for Slovenian’s, Economy Minister Zdravko Počivalšek said. The situation is being analysed and he hopes solutions will be found for each segment.
