Franc Kramar, long-serving former mayor of Bohinj and MP for the opposition Alenka Bratušek Party (SAB), has died aged 60 after a long illness.
Kramar served as mayor of Bohinj in 1994-1998 and then between 2002 and 2018, when he was elected to parliament on the SAB slate. Kramar will be succeeded as MP by party leader Alenka Bratušek, by virtue of her having achieved the second best result for her party in the Kranj electoral district.
