Janez Cigler Kralj, Slovenia’s minister in charge of social affairs and equal opportunities, signed the Lisbon declaration on the European platform on combatting homelessness, as he attended a high-level conference on homelessness organised by Portugal’s EU presidency and the European Commission in Lisbon.
The declaration was signed by representatives of EU member states, the Commission and Parliament and other institutions in a bid to eradicate homelessness by 2030. Cigler Kralj also met his Portuguese counterpart Ana Mendes Godinho and the chair of the steering board of the European platform on combatting homelessness Yves Leterme.
