As we have learned, Milan Kučan postponed today’s session of the Judicial Council due to the epidemiological situation, the Partisans are cancelling many ceremonies, but Dražgoše, where there will again be a massive participation of leftists, remains!
Today, at its regular session the Judicial Council was supposed to discuss the currently non-existent diploma of the Supreme Judge Branko Masleša. However, the session was officially postponed due to the epidemiological situation and moved online.
The Masleša case is a matter of priority, necessary for a democratic society and the rule of law to be clarified as soon as possible. But in the meantime, the former leader of the League of Communists, Milan Kučan, intervened and the session with about ten people present was adjourned. However, he will not stop the pilgrimage to Dražgoše, which is obviously of great importance to the left – also despite the health conditions. Namely, Kučan will be the solemn speaker there, and in the village, which was betrayed by the Partisans and handed over to the Germans, the entire leftist cream gathers every year. We are talking about at least a thousand people present, which is certainly a risky thing to do in this situation.
Partisan celebrations are being cancelled, but Dražgoše is not
We remind you that the organisers of the annual commemorative ceremony on the anniversary of the last battle of the Pohorje Battalion, which takes place every Saturday around January 8th at pri Treh žebljih na Osankarici, decided to cancel the event before the 79th anniversary due to deteriorating epidemiological conditions. Kučan is determined that the Dražgoše celebration will take place no matter what.
