The total gross revenues from gambling in Slovenia have grown in recent years, but they still do not reach those ahead of the crisis. According to the data of the Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia (Furs), revenues in the lottery have decreased by almost a third in the past five years, thus making the casinos, which also have a larger visit, are the ones to increase their total revenues.

Gross revenue from gambling – this is the total amount of all payments, minus the paid profits – reached EUR 307 million in 2017. This is more than a quarter less than in the pre-crisis year 2008 and also almost ten percent less than five years ago, although in the last few years they have been increasing by several million euros a year.
