The deadline for resignation, set for Prime Minister Robert Golob at the recent nationwide pensioners’ protest in Ljubljana, is approaching. Since there are no signs that the government will step down, the Voice of Pensioners of Slovenia party is announcing an escalation.
As its president, Pavel Rupar, wrote on the social media platform Facebook, they plan to completely block Ljubljana during the next rally, using personal vehicles and trucks, and are also coordinating with farmers for support.
They are also preparing a joint action involving multiple political parties, associations, trade unions, and students.
The exact date of the rally has not yet been confirmed, but Rupar stated, “I know for sure that this will be the largest and most diverse protest in terms of the range of participants.”
