The government set aside EUR 8 million for the creation and development of a model farm in Pomurje as part of efforts to nurture the development of agriculture in the region ethically mixed region in eastern Slovenia where the Hungarian minority lives.
The model farm will promote a resilient and competitive agriculture in the region and “contribute to the preservation of the national identity of members of the Hungarian minority,” the government said.
