The European Commission cleared an EUR 7 million scheme to encourage Slovenia’s air connectivity that was badly affected by the Covid pandemic.

The Commission found the scheme was in line with the EU’s state aid temporary framework. The scheme introduces subsidies similar to those approved in November 2020 which ran out at the end of 2021. Aid will be available to all airlines flying to and from Slovenia, but the amount they receive depends on the number their flights and passengers.
