Due to Violeta Tomić there was total chaos in the parliament: due to her leadership of the Committee of Culture, both Minister Simoniti and the coalition deputies left the hall

Yesterday, in Ljubljana a scandalous session of the Committee of Culture took place, where the Minister of Culture, Vasko Simoniti and Zlatan Čordić, who was presented as a victim of the government’s arrogance and bias by the opposition, were supposed to confront each other. Čordič’s self-employed in culture status was taken by the Ministry of Culture as he devoted his time to activism against the government rather than his work in culture. On the one hand, the session passed in a disrespectful attitude towards culture and the Minister of Culture, and with a handling of the wrongdoer Čordić as a “respected elder” on the other. One after another, coalition MPs obstructed the session, and the reason they cited was that the National Assembly was not the place to hold a session on the unfinished procedure of a single person.

The session of the Committee of Culture proceeded with a general abduction of the meeting by the most primitive and extreme members of the opposition, who constantly justly, inarticulately, unarguably moralised, and theatrically extended the session to the point where Minister Vasko Simoniti was no longer willing to listen to how they lecture him indefinitely. He left the session, and in continuation, contrary to the Minister, Zlatan Čordić received all the honours of Violeta Tomić and others, as if it were Boris Pahor or Drago Jančar. Even before the minister, the obstruction of the session was announced by the coalition MPs, who did not agree with the fact that the unfinished procedure of a single person should be discussed at the session of the National Assembly.

Sometimes it is said for some people that they have a “Christ complex”, but for Zlatan Čordić it is possible to put it more modestly, he has a “Cankar complex”. The guy imagines that he is some kind of today’s modernised (re)incarnation of Ivan Cankar. He confirmed this again in his speech at the committee meeting. Zlatan Čordić is a rapper who sings about a better world and admittedly has one very listenable, feel good song with Nina Pušlar.

But while Ivan Cankar in his own style imitated creators, authors, top writers, and often even exceeded their level, Čordić as a rapper culturally appropriates the ghetto sub culture of American black criminals. Badly, if we may add. It is incomparable and blasphemous that at the meeting he was not interrupted by anyone when he once again compared himself to Cankar.

Lies of Zlatan Čordić

In his speech, he served up a whole bunch of lies, or in other words he painted the criminal patina of his actions with transparent euphemisms. He is just “sarcastic” (he approached dr. Krek as an artist, presenting himself as a journalist was part of the play, part of the theatre, part of the performance), he is culturally subversive, he “warns” with his actions, he “never wanted (even though he did) to harm Nova24TV cameraman and take his camera” (despite doing so), he never encouraged against masks (even though he did), it was all “taken out of the context”. But the statement of the day was certainly when Zlatko said that he was accused of not working”, and then tried to convince that this stems from the fact that the Ministry does not understand that “his every thought is work”. So Čordić is thinking at the expense of taxpayers.

Has anyone opposed this deception? No, they applauded him. What else did they applaud? His nonsense in the sequel when he called “Janša’s” media, including us, completely in line with an abused cliché of the opposition, namely with “fascist”, even “Nazi-fascist”. Let’s recall that years ago, in the reality show Big Brother, Čordić said that the inscription in front of Auschwitz, “Arbeit Mach Frei”, meant that “if you really worked hard, you were granted freedom”. It is interesting that someone who certainly also took his inspiration from the Muslim interpretation of the Nazi attitude towards Jews hopes to tell the media, that has never spread hatred towards Jews, that they are Nazi-fascist.

Violeta Tomić “show” and the leaving of dr. Simoniti

Violeta Tomić, with her long speeches, full of clichés, righteous moralising, gossip, and slander, additionally seasoned with her proverbial theatricality, abducted the session and made it unnecessarily long and inconclusive in the end. She even named the leaving of the coalition as “nit-picking just like any time something does not suit them”. Despite the fact that the sessions were known to be inconclusive, she still wanted to give the Minister Simoniti one of her “lectures”. She kept on insisting and did not give an opportunity to the Minister to speak, instead she made him disrespectfully wait as one of her lackeys. Consequently, the Minister lost his nerves and left the session, saying that “he does not intend to listen to this anymore”.

At the session, Violeta Tomić, in addition to disrespecting Minister Simoniti, also showed elementary disrespect toward the institution of the Committee of Culture, and thus towards the Slovenian state and culture. She led the session in a leather jacket with her mask often under her nose.
