Diaspora writer Alojz Rebula honoured with bust

A bust of Alojz Rebula (1924-2018), a diaspora writer and translator, was unveiled in front of the Church of St Helen in Loka pri Zidanem Mostu, where he spent the last years of his life.

The work of sculptor Zoran Poznič, the bust was presented at a ceremony featuring President Borut Pahor, Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti and Minister for Slovenians Abroad Helena Jaklitsch. Mass was given by Cardinal Franc Rode.
