A ban on movement between municipalities entered into force as the government stepped up restrictions in response to a surge in coronavirus cases.
Rules on face masks outdoors were somewhat relaxed, as people walking or exercising in open green spaces are not required to wear them if they can keep a distance of at least three metres from others. The 9pm-6am curfew and the rule of six remain in force, with certain exceptions, such as those related to work and emergency situations.
