Police officers from the Novo mesto Police Department also had to deal with illegal migration at the southern border yesterday.
In the afternoon, at the border control of a truck at the entrance into the country, two citizens of Afghanistan were discovered at Obrežje, who wanted to enter Slovenia. The procedure with them was taken over by Croatian police officers.
A little before noon, a police officer of a guide service dog, arrested two foreigners, citizens of Pakistan, who came to Slovenia outside the border crossing near Breg pri Sinjem vrhu. They were taken into custody by Črnomelj police officers.
At the border crossing for international traffic in Metlika in the evening, at the border control of a truck at the entrance to the country, they found an Algerian citizen in the chassis, who wanted to avoid the border control and enter the country. The person was handed over to Croatian police for further proceedings.
