Left wing, are you sleeping peacefully?

By: Jože Biščak

After World War II, the top of the then communist government ordered Udba to break through the economic blockade and provide for the comfort of the leaders. Since most of the people who met in business were killed, they began to engage in what they had mastered on their own – classic crime, illegal business in normal democracies. They were assisted in this by the Italian mafia, with which they later maintained contacts and managed gambling and black funds through the establishment of companies in the West.

If anyone thought that the transitional left gave up the services of the mafia after independence, they are mistaken. Filippo Dollfus, Gabriele Bravi, Bruno Sacco or Luigi Ciccarelli (better known as Aldo Fanelli) are just some of the names that have been linked to the secret political police in one way or another. With dirty money, they provided unlimited prosperity for communist bosses and hired paid assassins to settle accounts with ideological opponents abroad. After independence, this money mostly flowed into selected political parties of the left and the media, and was also used to finance Milan Kučan’s first presidential campaign.

The left has always made a pact with unpreparedness of all kinds. This is also why its history is in fact a history of legalised crime; under communism, there were officially few crimes precisely because party bosses and criminals ate lobsters in Marina Portorož, and hunted mostly petty thieves.

We recently wrote in the magazine Demokracija that the left is using criminals without a hint of shame in overthrowing the center-right government. Anis Ličina is a prime example. From a career criminal and a street bully, the progressive media (especially the state-owned RTV Slovenia) created a “rebellion” star against Janša’s government, which is supposed to lead Slovenia to totalitarianism. The truth is, of course, the opposite: this government is leading Slovenia to normalcy, where criminals like Ličina will spend the rest of their lives behind bars. Even terrorists have always been close to the left. The latest example is sympathy with Hamas, a proven terrorist organisation that even the state-run STA affectionately calls a rebel movement against Israel.

Where do the hugs between the left and classic criminals come from?

A large part of the “merit” for erasing the boundaries between good and bad is owned by progressive film production, which turns a criminal into a personality with which the viewer sympathises. Such is the whole range of characters: from The Godfather and Billy the Kid to Swordfish and The Gentleman. Or The Silence of the Lambs, where Hannibal Lecter, a sadistic serial killer, is presented in a much nicer light than some people trying to catch him. This kind of moral relativism, which has been accelerated by cultural Marxism, can be followed live with Ličina. But, have you ever wondered where this perverted logic and tactics came from, where the hugs between the left and classic criminals, the mafia and terrorists come from?

The love between the left and criminals has an ideological basis. According to the Marxist belief, criminals became criminals because of the unjust conditions in capitalism that pushed them to the margins of society. They gave this a “scientific” basis with social Darwinism, a theory that (after the failed socialist revolutions) uses the principles of evolution in the development of social order: they do not put the criminal behind bars, but put them in a more favourable and just situation. In this way, the criminal is “re-educated” into a soldier of social justice, and the criminal finds his place in society and uses his criminal abilities to implement progressive ideas. This conclusion was reached, without exception, by all leftists from the French Revolution to the present day: classic criminals and mobsters are their allies. Hence the term “bandit politics”. That is, the use of criminals and the mafia to fight class enemies and opponents of socialism. This is not even difficult if we know that both leftists and criminals have the same experience – robbing others and destroying. In order to cover up their actions on the left, they criminalise political opponents and send them to prison through rigged trials. And they claim it is nothing personal. It is all business – left wing political business.
