A lawyer pointed out to me that in the case of untrue records about media freedom in Slovenia in the Politico media, which is successfully prompted with them by the Slovenian transitional left, the so-called framing will happen to the Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša. “The basic premise of the theory of framing in media content is that the media forward messages, but at the same time also suggest how these messages should be understood or interpreted by the addressees. (…) An important condition for the operation of this process is also a credible reporter or source.” This is how Andrej Urbanc writes in his dissertation on this topic (http://dk.fdv.uni-lj.si/diplomska/pdfs/urbanc -andrej.pdf).
In the case of Prime Minister Janez Janša, “framing” with the help of the Politico media takes place through the Netherlands, and is carried out by Sophie in ‘t Veld, MEP (D66/Renew), who leads the European Parliament Democracy, Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights Monitoring Group. She had been studying art history (medieval studies) for almost a decade and is not a lawyer by profession. She is a kind of European Svetlana Slapšak, but what she does has little to do with law. The D66 party itself is reminiscent of the German Greens and is a breeding ground for various scandals – most recently regarding sexual harassment.
“When I look at the latest application of framing on the Slovenian situation, it is about the same as during the initial colonisation of America, when one Indian tribe received firearms from whites, and another tribe was still fighting in the old way, with bows and arrows. If this second tribe does not adapt quickly, it will be erased,” a well-known lawyer illustrated the situation. “Even a public hearing on framing and similar manipulations, if done in a credible way, would change a lot,” he told us, adding: “This could be an important topic of the EU presidency if addressed in the right way. International attention would be assured, as well as the results if this was tackled credibly and transparently.”
If such framing takes a long time, in fact this one has been taking for at least two years, a framework is slowly created that literally paralyses the victim internationally and internally. And inactivity can be fatal.
