Yesterday afternoon, they received a call from a citizen who said that a vehicle full of people drove through Plavje. They left the vehicle and walked towards Italy. Police tracked down a VW Tiguan car with Dutch license plates. The driver, a 40-year-old Dutch national, was remanded in custody. The Italian security authorities have arrested nine illegal migrants who they link to this transport. Police officers continue to gather more information.
In Gruča, in the area of the Šentjernej police station, two illegal migrants illegally crossed the state border. Police tracked down the Pakistani citizens and arrested them.
During the control of a truck with the registration plates of northern Macedonia, police officers from the Obrežje police station discovered two Afghan citizens who, hidden among the cargo, were trying to avoid border control and enter Slovenia illegally. After the procedure was completed, the foreigners were handed over to the Croatian security authorities.
