(GALLERY) Magical Christmas is back: Live nativity scene in Postojna Cave returns

By: P.T. / STA

After a two-year break, the Postojna Cave will once again host a live nativity scene, with between 12,000 and 15,000 visitors expected to come and see the daily shows performed between 25 and 30 December. This year, around 100 performers will re-enact the Christmas nativity story, with 16 biblical scenes to be staged along the entire length of the five-kilometre path through the cave, marked by rich costume design and video projections.

Postojna Cave and its Living Nativity make for one of the world’s most fascinating Christmas experiences. The magical ninety minutes of discovering the fairytale-like subterranean world is an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Three ladies with their one-of-a-kind vocals will make this year’s Living Nativity Scenes in Postojna Cave an even more unforgettable event: Severa Gjurin and her lyrical voice, opera singer Urška Kastelic and the internationally-recognised Slovenian singer Maja Keuc Amaya.
