In the last 48 hours, while performing state border protection tasks in the area of Cerknica, Ljubljana, Grosuplje and Kočevje, police officers from the Ljubljana Police Department tracked down and arrested 34 foreigners (citizens of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Algeria) who illegally crossed the state border. The proceedings of the police officers with the foreigners have not yet been completed.
On Friday morning, after an announcement of a citizen, police officers detected a combined vehicle with Bulgarian license plates on the Dolenjska motorway in front of the Malence exit, from which people fled into the forest. In the proceedings, it was established that the Bulgarian driver was transporting ten foreigners (citizens of Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan) who had illegally crossed the state border and were caught in the forest near the vehicle. A Bulgarian citizen has been deprived of his liberty, and the procedures and activities of police officers in connection with foreigners are still ongoing.
