Our team announced from the field that a group of aggressive rioters is still insisting on the intersection between Šubičeva and Slovenska street, while a group around the self-proclaimed musician – rapper Zlatko is still hanging around the vicinity of the parliament.

Our reporters say quite a few dangerous people have gathered at today’s protest against government measures to curb the spread of the Chinese virus. We reported that a group of militant and extremely dangerous Salafists was detected.

At first, fairly peaceful protests turned violent, as left wing fascists and members of Antifa and individual foreigners welcomed to Slovenia spat on a team of Nova24TV journalists, threw rockets and granite blocks at parliament and threw bottles at police officers.

Those who actually came in a peaceful way to express their disagreement with the measures (especially the PCT condition) withdrew, leaving well-known street thugs, among them quasi-singer Zlatan Čordić, also known as rapper Zlatko.

Until recently, as our team reports, a group of aggressive rioters persisted at the intersection between Šubičeva and Slovenska street, and a group around the self-proclaimed musician – rapper Zlatko – is still hanging around the vicinity of the parliament.

The Ljubljana Police Department announced:

“Police officers of the Ljubljana Police Administration today guarded the protest rally, which began at 6 pm on the Republic Square, where about 8,000 people gathered.

At around 8 pm, there was a mass violation of public order and peace, with granite blocks, bottles and pyrotechnics being thrown at police officers and the National Assembly building, which led to the police disbanding the rally to ensure public order. The persons were repeatedly asked to leave the Republic Square, but they did not follow this order, so the police dispersed the crowd from the Republic Square. Individual groups then revolted in the area of the center of Ljubljana and disobeyed police orders to disperse, attacks on police officers also occurred, in which individuals threw granite blocks and other objects, and used pyrotechnics.

Police are currently operating in the wider city center area and are trying to disperse individual groups. A water cannon was also used against persons who did not follow orders to disperse on Šubičeva street.

The police intervention is still ongoing, so we are unable to provide you with any other information at this time. We will update the information when the police intervention is completed and more information is known.”
