The invasion of illegal migrants continues: 108 arrested foreigners who wanted to illegally enter in Slovenia

Last weekend police officers of PU Koper and PU Novo mesto arrested 108 illegal migrants who illegally crossed the Slovenian-Croatian border.

In the last three days (from Friday, 7 am to 7 pm), police in the area of the Koper Police Administration dealt with a total of 72 persons who illegally crossed the Slovenian – Croatian border. 43 of them expressed their intention to apply for international protection in Slovenia, 29 of them were returned to the Republic of Croatia, according to PI Koper.

After nationalities were present: Algeria – 16, Pakistan – 16 Iraq – 13, Somalia – 8, Syria – 5, Afghanistan – 3, India – 3, Iran – 3, Yemen – 2, Morocco – 1 Palestine – 1 Tunisia – 1.

36 persons were apprehended in the area of PP Ilirska Bistrica, 28 in the area of Kozina and 8 in the area of PP Piran.

During the 21st and 24th of September, police officers from the PU Novo mesto carried out the tasks of protecting the state border in the area of Bojanci, Sinji vrh, Dolenjci, Adlešiči, Tribuča, Šakovci, Sečje Selo, Kovačji gradi and Črnomelj and they traced and apprehended 36 foreigners who illegally crossed the state border. Police procedures with foreigners, thirteen Pakistani nationals, six Moroccan citizens, five Iranian citizens, five Syrian citizens, two citizens of Afghanistan and Iraq, Tunisia, Algeria and Eritrea citizens have not been completed yet.
