Yesterday at 13.46, a citizen informed OKC (operational communication center) that he had noticed a motor vehicle in the Kastelec tunnel that violated road traffic regulations (excessive speed). There were two people on it.
A police patrol tracked down the motor vehicle at the turnoff for Črni kal (towards Dekan). They drove after him, drove to the exit of Škofija and started to stop him, but the driver did not stop, but continued on the old road towards Ankaran. In this, the motorcyclists fell and collided with a police car (the cause was improper movement with the vehicle).
Police arrested both. The Kawasaki Z750 motorcycle was driven by a 42-year-old Croatian citizen, and the passenger was a 27-year-old Indian citizen who came to Slovenia illegally. The driver will be fined for helping to cross the state border illegally, because he does not have a valid driver’s license an indictment was also written for him (driving without a valid driver’s license). Both were slightly injured (abrasions) and taken to SB Izola for an examination, from where they were discharged the same day. The vehicle was seized.
The Italian security authorities returned two citizens of Nepal to us that day, the police treated two citizens of Pakistan near Črnotiče and a citizen of Morocco near Praporče. An Indian citizen from the car accident described above was also dealt with.
