Slovenian police officers will be joined by officers from other EU countries in patrolling the Slovenian-Croatian border in a bid to prevent illegal migration.
The move comes after the government’s proposal of having the army help the police failed to garner sufficient support in parliament. Slovenia is to sign cooperation agreements on the “joint patrols and other joint forms of action to deal with illegal migration” on the Slovenian-Croatian border, the government said.
