Over the weekend, 95 illegal migrants were arrested in the area of the Koper Police Department

In the area of the Koper Police Administration, 95 illegal immigrants were treated from Friday July 2nd, 2021 to Monday July 5th, 2021 until 6.00 am.

On Friday, police arrested a total of 45 illegal immigrants; fifteen Afghan citizens were arrested at Kozina; in Kortine one citizen of Pakistan; in Hrpelje one citizen of Afghanistan; one citizen of Afghanistan in Kastelec; at Tublje, four underage Afghan nationals who applied for asylum; at Brežec, nine Afghan nationals, two Pakistani nationals and one Nepalese national; between Kozina and Klanec, there were then seven other Afghan nationals, one Pakistani national, one Iranian national, one Indian national and one Myanmar national. All but four Afghans who applied for asylum were returned to Croatian security authorities.

On Saturday, police arrested a total of thirteen illegal immigrants; two Iranian nationals were arrested near Brežec; six citizens of Afghanistan at Osp; at Obrovo, two citizens of Kosovo and one citizen of Albania; at Rakitovec, two Syrian citizens; the persons were returned to the Croatian security authorities.

On Sunday, police arrested a total of fourteen illegal immigrants; one Pakistani citizen was arrested at Kastelec; in Podgorje, four Iranian nationals and later four Afghan nationals who applied for asylum; and five more Kosovo citizens in Pregara. Four Afghan nationals have been housed in an asylum home, the rest will be returned to Croatian security authorities.

By 6.00 am Monday, police arrested a total of 23 illegal immigrants, near Movraž, where five Palestinian citizens, Iraqi citizens and twelve Kuwaiti citizens were arrested. All of them have applied for asylum, so they will be placed in an asylum home in Ljubljana.
