Novo mesto Police Department: A German citizen was transporting two Pakistanis in a vehicle

Police arrested a 33-year-old German citizen in Črešnjice near Cerklje shortly before 21.00 on Wednesday, who was transporting two Pakistani citizens who had illegally crossed the state border in a vehicle, the Novo mesto Police Department communicated. The German was taken into custody, detained and his car was confiscated.

The German will be brought before an investigating judge with a criminal complaint for the crime of crossing the border or the territory of the country. Police proceedings with Pakistani nationals are still ongoing, they explained.

Illegal state border crossings

On the night of December 17th, Brežice police officers tracked down and arrested three Moroccan citizens and a Libyan citizen while performing tasks of guarding the state border in the Čatež ob Savi area. Police proceedings with foreigners who have illegally crossed the state border have not yet been completed.
