Last weekend, police officers dealt with 31 illegal migrants in the area of the Koper Police Department.
On Friday, 3 citizens of Afghanistan were treated in Brezovica near Gradin, and 2 citizens of Algeria in Praproče. On Saturday, a Serbian citizen banned from entering the Schengen area was treated at Dragonja Vas, a vehicle with 13 illegal migrants and a guide (8 Bangladeshi citizens, two Afghan citizens, and three Pakistani citizens) was stopped between Gračišče and Kubed, four citizens of Afghanistan were treated in Kubed, and one citizen of Bangladesh in Podgorje. On Sunday, two citizens of Afghanistan were treated in Praproče, one citizen of Pakistan in Črni Kal, one citizen of Afghanistan in Sočerga, two citizens of Kosovo in Dragonja Vas, and one citizen of Afghanistan in Belvedur.
Police also reported the circumstances of finding a van with thirteen migrants. Police officers between Gračišče and Kubed stopped a Mercedes van in which a 26-year-old Ukrainian citizen was transporting 13 illegal migrants. A criminal complaint was filed against the 26-year-old for the criminal offense of prohibited crossing of the border or territory. He was brought before an investigating judge yesterday, who ordered his detention after questioning.
