IOM says 78,372 migrants have entered EU by sea this year

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said a total of 78,372 migrants and refugees entered Europe by sea between the beginning of 2018 and September 20, reports ANSAmed.

It said of these, 34,238 (44% of the total) arrived in Spain, followed by Greece with 22,261 arrivals and Italy with 20,859 arrivals.
