A vehicle was confiscated from a Macedonian for transporting migrants

By: C.R.

While performing the tasks of protecting the state border in the area of Preloka (PS Črnomelj), the police tracked down and arrested eleven citizens of Afghanistan, and in the area of Loč (PS Brežice) two citizens of Algeria. Police proceedings with foreigners who have illegally crossed the state border have not yet been completed.

On the night of September 21st, police officers stopped an Audi A6 car with Slovenian registration plates in the Soteska area. During the proceedings, it was established that a Macedonian citizen was transporting four Pakistani citizens who had previously crossed the state border illegally. A 24-year-old suspect who was helping foreigners and intending to transport them inland was taken into custody and his car was confiscated. He will be brought before an investigating judge with a criminal complaint for a criminal offense prohibited from crossing the state border or territory. Police proceedings with Pakistani citizens are still ongoing.
