“Today, Slovenia’s strong candidate lost the election for leading the EU Defence Committee. He was defeated by a general from Ireland, which is not even a NATO member.
Defence personnel in Slovenia are educated at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana, where they exhibit an extremely disrespectful attitude toward our allies, visible throughout the EU. Not even during the time of the SFRY and the FSPN was there such indoctrination. This is a final warning that defence studies should be organised outside the extreme leftist nest @MO_RS @vladaRS. You are playing with the reputation and security of the country.”
This is what Janez Janša, the president of the Slovenian Democratic Party, wrote.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, Robert Glavaš, was not elected as the new chairman of the European Union’s military committee. The chiefs of the general staff of the armies of EU member states chose Irish General Sean Clancy, who will succeed Austrian General Robert Brieger in the position in one year.
