Unbelievable: the government and NGOs are attacking doctors, and the state secretary for health admits that it is the government that has not fulfilled its obligations?

It seems that madness in power has completely escalated, especially regarding healthcare. The already marginal Minister of Health, Valentina Prevolnik Rupel, who is not participating in negotiations with doctors, has gone on vacation, and healthcare is sinking. The blame for this is being placed on the striking doctors.

We already published an article about how unrelated MP Mojca Pašek Šetinc explains that the government has all the authority to declare the strike illegal and refuse to pay doctors for the days they are on strike. The strike has been ongoing for 40 days.

However, in an interview on the show 24ur zvečer, State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Denis Kordež (inadvertently?) admitted that it is actually the government that is not keeping its agreement.

Former Minister Žiga Turk commented on this, stating, “Doctors made a mistake about one thing: they could not have imagined that leftists care so little about people.”

HEALTH MINISTER WENT ON VACATION DURING THE STRIKE BECAUSE THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, DEPOLITICISED AND INDEPENDENT MEDIA, AND NON-😉GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS DECEIVE PEOPLE 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK, CLAIMING THAT ONLY WICKED AND GREEDY DOCTORS NEED TO STOP STRIKING AND EVERYTHING WILL BE OK. THE STRIKE TO… – ŽIGA TURK (@ZIGATURK) FEBRUARY 27, 2024

So, the government has decided to let doctors strike; after all, the government is not to blame at all, greedy doctors are responsible for everything – at least that is what they think in government ranks, and for good measure, they engage their pit bulls to tear doctors apart.

The Institute 8th of March joined these pit bulls a long time ago, which – how bizarre! – started collecting signatures in a petition for safe abortion at the same time. This is absurd, considering that the current procedure for abortion is already covered by Article 55 of the Constitution, and on top of that, it is financed from the health fund. But beware, how will they perform safe abortions if the non-governmental activists with Jaša Jenull, Dušan Kebra, and Nika Kovač practically want to drive doctors out of the country?

And then, both Prime Minister Robert Golob and the President of the Republic Nataša Pirc Musar demand an end to the strike after the shocking admission by the state secretary? Truly insane.
