These Are the Actual Winners of the Slovenian Parliamentary Elections

By: Domen Mezeg / Nova24tv

The left-wing political options are merely the puppets in the hands of influential godfathers from the background. This was also confirmed by Kučan, who visited the election headquarters of the Social Democrats party, and Janković, who visited the Freedom Movement’s election headquarters. Meanwhile, the influence of “godfather” Golobič is supposedly being realised through the most extreme leftist party – the Left. And the people who will supposedly have the most influence are Jamnik from Modra Zavarovalnica insurance company, who will control the economy, Kos, who will extend his influence from the largest commercial television station, POP TV, to the police, and Čeferin, who will strengthen his influence on the judiciary.

The post-election “dance” for the commoners, about which the electricity oligarch and president of the Freedom Movement (Gibanje svoboda), Robert Golob spoke, is one thing, and the political backstage of the parties which are intending to form a new government, is something else entirely. We are, of course, thinking of the so-called godfathers from the background. At least two of them visited the left-wing elections headquarters immediately after the election – the last leader of the Communist Party of Slovenia, Milan Kučan, visited the election headquarters of the Social Democrats party (Socialni demokrati – SD), and the Ljubljana sheriff Zoran Janković visited the Freedom Movement, headed by the electricity oligarch Golob (known, among other things, for his illegally high salary of 45 thousand euros). This also shows the real, slightly more hidden image of the transitional politics.

Investigative journalist Bojan Požar already wrote about the left-wing “vultures” and the division of the post-election loot. The web portal Požareport reports that by celebrating the Freedom Movement, we certainly got new influencers from the background as well (and lots of old ones, too). Among other things, Kučan was particularly active in the elections. The Ljubljana Sheriff Janković also managed to get at least two of his candidates into the Freedom Movement, while Gregor Golobič will try to influence the political reality through the extreme Left party (Levica). However, both Kučan and Golobič are said to be a little negatively surprised by the high number of elected MPs from the Freedom Movement’s list.

Allegedly, they quietly hoped for ten seats for the Social Democrats and ten seats for the Left. And the strongest godfathers from the background are expected to be: Borut Jamnik from the Modra zavarovalnica insurance company, Drago Kos (member of the “mafia” family that controls the largest commercial television station, POP TV, and partially also the leftist non-governmental organisation – the Institute of the 8th of March) and Aleksander Čeferin, President of UEFA and member of the Čeferin law firm, which has a lot of influence on the state prosecutor’s office, as well as the Constitutional Court. The last three are also expected to share the loot of the elections (meaning, the influential areas of work). Jamnik will supposedly take the economy under his wing, with the exception of energy, because that will be covered by the electricity oligarch.

A personnel tsunami is imminent: POP TV and Odlazek’s media outlets will applaud it loudly
Kos will supposedly control the police and Čeferin the judiciary. In addition, Čeferin is also expected to become the starting point for the capital of Hungarian origin (through his connections in the OTP bank). We are in for quick and extensive personnel changes, which will, of course, be praised by POP TV and the media outlets owned by tycoon Martin Odlazek. It is worth noting that all of these media outlets were very critical of the personnel changes made by the Janša government. With staff changes, many people will get the jobs they want, which is the main reason for the changes anyway.
