The late Ježek would roll in his grave! The award, named after him, was received by the impatient Svetlana Makarovič, and was awarded by the public service broadcaster RTV Slovenia

“Svetlana Makarovič, actress, playwright, musician, illustrator, poet, writer, screenwriter and director, will receive the Ježek Award for 2021.” The news has spread around Slovenia today and shocked many. Makarovič is considered one of the most impatient public figures, and apparently many take her public expression of hatred as an example.

Interestingly, the far-left cultural icon did not hesitate to accept the award this time. Namely, in 2000 she was nominated and “elected” as the Prešeren laureate, but she publicly refused the award because at that time she was also received by the Catholic Priest Father Marko Ivan Rupnik. Well, she did not give up the monetary part of the prize. Whenever she appeared in public, she mostly took care for impatient outbursts, which were applauded by many. Not only because of the words “dog will f**k your mother”, but also because of the quite obvious expressions of hatred even towards the President of the Republic Borut Pahor (last July, for example, she said to the loud applause of the audience that he should be “kicked in a mine shaft”, whatever this means. Law enforcement has never moved, which is further proof that she is a specially protected figure by the deep state.

It is worth mentioning that the Ježek Award, named after Frane Milčinski Ježek, is awarded by the public institution RTV Slovenia for “original achievements and opuses in the fields of radio and television creativity that follow the noble tradition of Ježek’s spirit”. In the explanation, they wrote, among other things, that Svetlana Makarovič is a “versatile artist who deserves the Fran Milčinski-Ježek Award because she not only exceeds all the announced criteria, but also represents a humanistic intellectual who is characterised by breadth, depth and sharpness of the spirit”. It is crazy to think that in the world, especially in these times, the rule is that awards and recognitions are taken away from many celebrities who have behaved politically incorrectly. In our country, however, the expression of hatred towards “class enemies” is obviously a virtue that is rewarded by public RTV. Either way, Fran Milčinski Ježek can roll in his grave.
