The National Electoral Commission has published the list of all party candidates in the country’s 88 districts. I am publishing the list of all 1,342 candidates.
In fact, this is the total list of all names and surnames, but the actual number of candidates is lower, because 114 candidacies appear twice in two districts within the same electoral unit, which the electoral system allows as an exception. The surname Golob appears three times in the election. Twice it is Robert Golob, who is running in the Bežigrad 1 and Domžale 2 districts. In Žalec, Cveta Golob is running for the Resni.ca party. The surname Janša also appears three times. Twice it refers to the SDS president Janez Janša, running in Grosuplje and Ivančna Gorica, while Matjaž Janša is running for SDS in the Bežigrad district.
When it comes to the number of party leaders and prominent politicians competing, the Ljubljana Centre district stands out. Among the candidates are former journalist and SD leader Tanja Fajon, the Speaker of Parliament Urška Klakočar Zupančič, Pirate Party leader Jasmin Feratović, young SDS politician Karin Planinšek, the leader of the party Mi, socialisti Miha Kordiš, Levica leader Luka Mesec, and the leader of the NOT party Violeta Tomić.

The surname Vrtovec appears only once. NSi president Jernej Vrtovec is running in Ajdovščina. The surname Han also appears once, in Laško, where SD president Matjaž Han traditionally runs. Luka Mesec will appear in two districts: Ljubljana Center and Šiška. There are no other candidates with the surname Mesec. The surname Vrečko appears twice: Asta Vrečko is running in Bežigrad, while Rastko Vrečko is running for Svoboda in Maribor. The surname Logar also appears twice. Anže Logar is running for the Democrats in Logatec, and Matic Logar is running for the Democrats in Kranj.
There are six candidates for the minority representative seats: four for the Italian minority and two for the Hungarian minority.
