Donald Trump would defeat Biden if the two ran for president in the 2024 elections, an opinion poll reveals. According to the results, the respondents also think that Donald Trump was a better president than Joe Biden.

Following the one-year mark of the Biden administration, the possibility of a rematch between Joe Biden and Donald Trump in 2024 is resurfacing with increasing frequency. Harvard-Harris asked registered voters in mid-January about who would win the next election if the previous and the current president ran again for the office. And the results show that Donald Trump would currently come out victorious by 6 percent, with Biden gaining only 40 per cent support. Those surveyed were also asked who they considered a better president. More than half of the respondents, 53 per cent, thought the Trump administration did a better job than Joe Biden’s government.

Trump also proved more popular in another poll. According to McLaughlin & Associates research, Trump leads Biden by 5 per cent. The survey was conducted just as Joe Biden’s popularity plummeted, which comes as no surprise as many of the promises made during the campaign have gone unfulfilled. Mr Biden has been unable to unite the country, which was his main pledge. People also blame the Democratic president for the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. The Biden administration has failed to secure the southern border, while tens of thousands of people have crossed into the United States, and many more are still unaccounted for. The president has also failed on both the health and the economic management aspects of the coronavirus epidemic. The United States started the year with record high inflation and unemployment has soared in recent months.

Joe Biden’s popularity is expected to plummet still further in the wake of the Democrat’s openly insulting journalists. The president’s frustration is readily apparent as in the obscene language he used at a press conference on Monday in reference to a journalist who asked him about inflation.

Mr Biden probably did not notice that his microphone was still turned on.
