The Government spokesperson Jelko Kacin spoke about the current situation regarding COVID-19 at the press conference.
Some 180 patients were treated in hospitals on Monday and 32 were in intensive care. Furthermore, 398 new cases were confirmed, and 3,308 tests implemented; the share of positive tests was 12 per cent. Four patients died.
The number of positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the 14-day period is 179, explained Kacin.
The virus is spreading in retirement homes as well. The infection was confirmed in 31 residents and nine employees in Trubar Retirement Home in Loka pri Zidanem Mostu. Five employees and 18 residents tested positive in Škofja Loka Centre for the Blind, Visually Impaired and Elderly. The first cases of infection were also confirmed in Kranj Retirement Home, Peter Uzar Retirement Home in Tržič and Trebnje Retirement Home.
According to the latest data, no new cases were discovered in Črna na Koroškem Special Education, Work and Care Centre.
More than 130,000 smartphone users have installed the #OstaniZdrav application. In the last 14 days, 455 TAN codes were issued, of which 282 were entered in smartphones. All these numbers are available daily at the application website.
The use of sports and cultural facilities in municipalities is in the domain of mayors who are empowered to take independent measures in accordance with the epidemiological situation in their municipality.
The Government crisis management committee and the advisory group of the Ministry of Health will meet this afternoon and draft proposals of new measures for the Government’s session on Wednesday.
