At the invitation of the Minister of Immigration and Integration Mattias Tesfaye, the Slovenian Minister of the Interior Aleš Hojs paid a visit to Denmark on 24 March 2022. In addition to meeting Minister Tesfaye, he also visited the Danish Return Agency and a reception center for Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war due to Russia’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine.
At the meeting, Ministers Hojs and Tesfaye strongly condemned the Russian aggression and confirmed the continued solidarity of both countries with Ukraine and assistance to Ukrainian refugees. They talked about the current situation in the field of migration and the reform of the European migration and asylum system.
