A group of SDS MPs is proposing the dismissal of Nataša Sukič from the position of Vice-President of the National Assembly. They accuse her of wrongly attributing the financial harm suffered by Slovenian pensioners to the wrong government in recent days, thus deliberately spreading lies.
As stated in the proposal for her dismissal, Sukič has repeatedly made verifiable false statements in recent days regarding the pension and disability insurance law adopted in December 2012. They highlight several of her public statements, claiming that the pension reform under the second government of Janez Janša lowered the pension calculation percentage, thus creating poor pensioners.
None of this is true, according to the SDS MPs, who had already called on Sukič last Friday to publicly apologise for her remarks. Instead of an apology, they were met with a cynical statement from the Levica party and Sukič, which, according to them, says more about them than about the SDS.
